Best place to stick £20k for 7 months?

I've got £20k sat in my deposit account ready to pay off a chunk of mortgage in January 2016 when I next can pay off 10% without incurring a penalty.
I have my full ISA allowance remaining this year.
My deposit account pays a pittance in interest.
Toying with the idea of putting £15k in my Hargreaves Lansdown ISA and investing it in something very safe.
But will the charges for trading in, and out, and withdrawal fees overcome any likely gains I might make from a 'safe' investment option?
Any other suggestions? Zopa perhaps?
