Question on defaults

Hi guys, quick question about several defaults on my account.
Several years ago I became unemployed and ended up with several defaults on my credit file. I've recently started paying a small amount each week towards settling the defaults as this is all I can afford.
The defaults are due to be removed from my credit file in the beginning of 2017, as this is 6 years from their start date.
My question is, even if I haven't fully settled the defaults by this time will they still be removed from my credit file?
