Orchid V4 dialler probs

Just installed a new V4 dialler on my home line tonight, routing tables are all loaded correctly but for some reason using the main phone to call doesn't seem to register and store in the dialler. It's an NTL line(I know about the xtra power supply however I have tried a few different phones and have success depending on phone used so can assume the line has enough 'power').

So on the main handset BT On-Air 1250 Classic DECT phone, it's cordless with a mains powered base station for answer machine etc.(REN value 1.0), when I dial a number, it calls whichever carrier the number is attached to so it evidently is going through the Orchid, but then I just get the 1899 woman telling me to enter the number, which I already have done, it doesn't seem to repeat it from it's memory? I've tried various things, i.e. dialling slower, not using the prestored numbers on the handset, if I dial a number manually I can dial 07, it then routes to 1899, then I dial the full number again i.e. 079..... followed by # etc and it works, so somehow it sees the 07, knows which carrier to route to, but doesn't then store the number to redial once connected to the carrier? I have also tried changing routing tables and using different length pauses for the carrier i.e. 4 and 5 secs

If I use a bog standard phone(again REN 1.0) it works fine, I can hear it select whichever carrier, then replays the number I had actuially dialled and connects all of its own accord.

I then switched the Orchid onto a BT line in the house and did a quick test, the BT number isn't registered with 18866 or 1899(works line so I was just testing) and both the DECT phone and the standard phone connected to the correct carrier, then I heard the number attempting to be dialled(which failed as the 1899 woman was saying the number I was calling from wasn't in their database.

So has anyone else had issues with a single phone or BT product, I will e-mail Orchid in the morning and it might well be the power problem just found it strange that a phone will actually work with it, only one handset/phone is the problem?

i will mail or ring Orchid tomorrow to see what they suggest but was just confused why a single phone seems to be troublesome(worse thing is we are probably replacing the phone soon due to battery giving up ghost and phone being a bit smashed, may not even have problems after all this:(

I have used the dialler since Feb with very few probs. (Telewest line, dialler mostly calling 18866). However I had to program it to use what Martin calls a Simply Dial Provider for a country not handled by 18866. (It had a four-second pause.) With this I had exactly the same problem as Woby_Tide: the dialler correctly seeing the country code and calling the provider but not passing the number on. It has been intermittent. Orchid's reply was less than totally helpful:
"Initially suggest trying to use another carrier to see if the same thing
happens, are you using any other 08xx carrier codes within your 'Active'
routing table and are the calls connecting correctly?"
Anyway being impatient I have given up and am trying Liquid Telecom for international calls.
