Named Driver possible risk or disadvantages

Is there any reason not to be a named driver on a policy?.

You are obliged to pass on to the policyholder (so he can inform the insurer) any convictions you get (and any medical conditions which you have to disclose to DVLA), plus any policies you get cancelled, which some might not want to do.0

When you get insurance quotes yourself you'll have to tick the box which says "named driver on another policy". No idea what effect, if any, that will have on your premium, though I don't imagine it will be much, and it might even reduce it slightly.0

It can just be a bit of a pain if the insurer asks to see evidence of license, claims history etc of all the drivers but going forward at least the license bit will be done online so that one will disappear.0
