Hi all, hopefully you can help.
I have a few rooms that are wallpapered with hideous (very old) borders up the top. I want to keep the wallpaper, but remove the border, is there an easy way to do this without it all ripping to shreds?

No way what soever, taking the top off will either pull some of the wall paper off from underneath or leave some of the backing of the border on the wallpaper.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0

Could you paint over the border?0

I tried that in another room and it was still highly visible.. if that's the only option though, without having to strip everything, I guess I'll have to go with that.0

Even if you could remove the border cleanly, are you sure the wallpaper has been trimmed neatly underneath?
I know when I have hung paper knowing a border was going on top, I have not been too fussy when trimming the paper.0
