Voluntary redundancy

Hi,
I have applied for vr and I'm due to find out today, I am however already aware of the decision as another employee has told me it's been accepted as he has been offered my role.
How wrong is it that I have found out this way and that other employees are aware of the decision before I have been officially informed?
Thanks

If it's redundancy the implication is that the role no longer exists so it is strange that you need to be replaced.
But as it's voluntary I assume you are happy to be going so I wouldn't worry about it, take the cash and look to the future.0 -
If it's anything like where I work, they may be waiting to see if the other person says yes to filling your shoes before they let you go. If he says no, it may be that you won't get vr.I love a bargain. Now mortgage and debt free. hurray!!:smileyhea0
