One Late Payment

Hello,
I'm looking for some advice if possible.
I have an MBNA credit card, and accidentally (stupidly) missed the payment due date which was 29/05/2015. I have spoken to them and they are going to waiver the £12 late fee, as all of my previous payments have been on time. I am going to make the payment straight away.
They have, however, said that they cannot guarantee that this won't be reported on my credit file.
Does anyone have any advice on this? I am currently saving up for a mortgage, and would hate for one stupid mistake to have an adverse impact on my chances of getting one.
Thanks!

One late payment isn't the end of the world, assuming everything else is in order. Particularly if it's still some time before you apply for a mortgage.
With luck, it may not appear on your files if you correct it now.0 -
One late payment will have little, if any, impact on your ability to get a mortgage.0
