Need savings advice.

Hello.

I currently have around £8k that's been sitting in the most basic Barclays Cash Card account for a few months, earning no interest (to my knowledge) and today decided that I'll actually make use of it. I'd like some advice on what to do with the money.

Currently, I'm thinking about putting £1k into Funding Circle and seeing how that goes and the rest into a stocks and shares ISA? I'll also be able to save an additional £250 a month, most likely splitting it between Funding Circle and the ISA. So, that is my current thinking. (I understand the risks and benefits of both).

Any help/advice is appreciated. :j
