MBNA Letter

Hi

New to forum.

Over the last month I was looking into whether I can reclaim PPI, as in the past I've had many different loans, insurance's, etc with many various banks and institutions.

Using the MSE template, I've sent off initial letters to enquire about the original agreements I had.

So far some have replied to say, no records exist of any loan.

Some have replied asking for £10 fee to check, I have replied to those I suspect may prove fruitful.

I got a letter back from MBNA yesterday, and looking for advise on the next step.

The letter says along the lines of, A reference number, Thanks for your recent request. We can confirm that you held the following accounts and then a table which shows a number starred out apart from last 4 digits, PPI start date (from 2009) and a PPI premiums paid value of £3xxx.xx.

I think the rest of the letter suggests if I want to get further detail, I can pay £1 to get the missing detail (full account number).
£10 gets the Data Subject Access Request information.

Has anyone had or seen similar from Mbna or other company?

    Pretty much standard response.

£1 method works for accounts that are still open. However, the agreement may not show any PPI on it (most credit card PPI was added post sale for example). £10 method gives you everything they have.

Send £10 for a SAR if the account is closed .
When mine came it listed Loan and credit card with PPI
I added it all together ( just the premium paid ) and as I had a valid complaint
I contacted them by letter it was all repaid with interest eventually !!
You will have to wait 40 days to get SAR details but worth it in my case

This is why some people seem as bright until you hear them.
