Precisely! I was truly shocked and opened my eyes to their true colours. I understand they just want the best price for the house etc but I couldnt sell my house with such a problem and lie about it! Id get it treated (even i it was the cheap way) and just say I have had it treated, your more than welcome to get somebody in to survey it etc.. But just to lie and they have marketed it more than they should have anyway - was valued at £115000 with the view of accepting £110000 but they were like no we need £130000 (and thats without the JK)

I needed, at the least, £250,000 for my last house. But...it was worth what it was worth - £170,000 in my case:(. Not nice to have to face facts - but sometimes the facts don't suit and you have to do so:cool:

I can think of someone in my new area that has a property for sale right now and is trying to sell it for 150% of what its worth - minus the JK. No EA involved in this case and I'm a bit stymied (other than telling absolutely everyone and waiting for the local grapevine to tell everyone else). The one consolation is that you cant possibly miss it - it can be seen very clearly.

I just hate people being ripped off. I got my house cheap 80000 when it was worth about 95000 so when those few problems arose - I thought well we got it cheap (made it slightly more bearable) however if Id of paid more than what was worth by 20000 then had an 8-10k problem on top Id definately be taking them to court!

Oh, for goodness sake, Money! In your opinion this house is overpriced. That opinion may not be right, and probably isn't shared by others.

A house is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. They aren't commodities that are worth exactly what you state they are. I very much doubt you have sufficient knowledge to price such a property.

Let people be adults. It's not your role... edit that.... It shouldn't be your role to determine what others do, whether they are wrong in what they do, or what they should have to do in various circumstances.

If I may be blunt, and possibly fall foul of Forum rules and etiquette, you are, in my opinion, one of the less moral posters on this site.

Anyone who states, such as you have, they hope and wish their elderly neighbour dies because of a disagreement over a teeny tiny strip of land is simply not a neighbour I would wish on anyone.

    A) The EA valued it at that - now they do have sufficent knowledge!
    B) What are you going on about somebody dying about a piece of land
    C) Less moral? Excuse me but you dont know me enough to judge and Im not the one defending people who lie and deceive

You are clearly a very vicious and closed minded person! Now go and be a troll on somebody elses post :-)

Correction - I have stated words to the effect of "because they are elderly then the problem cant last much longer". Its not a nice position to be in to have someone determinedly trying to nick a bit of your land and they have had countless attempts at asserting my land is theirs (when it isn't). Understandably - it proved a very frustrating situation while it lasted.

But - back to OP's thread....and I've checked the price being asked for equivalent property on the market - hence astonishment at the price being asked for it.

Not one word of that post was addressed at or to you, and no part of it referred to any property to which you have referred.

I would suggest you pay more attention to what is actually written before launching on some petty assault.

Dafty is a man actually - not that that makes any difference to the fact of introducing something nothing to do with your thread.

BTW - It was established conclusively eventually that it is indeed my land.
