Bi-cast leather sofas - repair advice, please!

I have two leather sofas, 5 years old, which have developed a lot of of flaking and some scratching and cracking.
I believe they may be bi-cast leather.
The flaking in particular is very unsightly as the surface has lifted off to reveal a much paler colour underneath.
Two leather repair firms have said they can't do anything with them, (after seeing photos), as they are bi-cast leather.
Surely there must be something I, or someone, can do? Even just to lessen the impact of the lighter colour showing through?
Other parts of the sofas are still immaculate, and they are very comfortable.
Can anyone help?
(This is some of the worst flaking, which is on one of the seat cushions. The other seat cushions on this sofa are perfect still!).

Sorry about the quality of the photo - I had to post a thumbnail, as the clearer photo size stretched the thread!

We had a similar problem and although we tried many remedies including "leather repair" adhesive, nothing really worked for long and always looked as though it had been "repaired"........which seemed worse than leaving it looking weathered and worn!
We ended up covering each seating pad with a throw, but to be honest, we saved up and got rid of the bi-cast leather sofa as soon as we could.0 -
a google search of 'bicast leather repairs' throws up these suggestions and a couple of youtube videos which may be of help to you?

Yes, guys, it's starting to look like I bought a pup.
I thought I was buying proper leather sofas, but it would seem I didn't. Nowhere, was bicast leather mentioned, though.
I'd like to get a bit more use out of them though, hence the attempt to repair or at least disguise the unsightly flaking.(I just lurve spiders!)

No, bi-cast was never mentioned when we bought ours either!
Some friends with a similar problem placed small hides over the seating area which looked quite classy - but they were expensive and not for us.0 -
I might have to resort to something like that. An added problem is that the seat cushions are fixed, so I can't just remove them and cover them with something. Grrrr! What a bad buy! The whole idea was to get sofas that would be easy to keep clean! Not ones that need replacing after five years! No, bi-cast was never mentioned when we bought ours either!

Beware, people!
DO NOT BUY BI-CAST LEATHER!(I just lurve spiders!)
