How should I clean my pram?

After three years stuffed in a bin liner in my loft, my pram is getting ready to make another appearance.
I am wondering how to clean it, there isn't any mildew or dirt, I just want to feel as if the pram is as sterile as possible, my baby will be going into special care for a few weeks after its arrival and wanting to be overly cautious in everything I am getting ready, especially the pram.
I'm not sure about putting the items in the machine to wash as it has wadding on the back of the pram liner etc.
Thanks

Do you have a little hand held steam cleaner? Or maybe borrow one?
The other thing to think about is some antibacterial spray such as one of the Febreze ones? The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
It depends on the type of pram we have a graco pushchair and a Combi dash stroller both have been through the wash and come out the machine like new, make sure it's a gentle wash, I would say if you can take the material off the frame it would prob be ok to chuck in the machine. (couldn't promise though)Booo!!!0

hi
anything that is antibacterial will do it
personally i would use warm water and washing up liquid to clean it first then i would use a disinfectant as a second wash to get rid of any germs
i wouldnt use fabreeze personally as its quite strong and might get on babys chest.appreciate what you have got x0 -
How come little one is going into Special Care?
Could you buy a new mattress, and Bleach the inside out now.. and a couple of times before Baby comes, so that it is Sterile?
Dettol perhaps if Bleach is too severe?0 -

I have a blood condition which is affecting the baby, so it needs to come early and I have been told to expect it to have a blood transfusion, and a stay in SCBU.
So I am frantically trying to make everything as sterile as possible in the home that baby will sleep in.
I am buying new mattresses for moses baskets, pram and cot, and all the other bedding and the car seat can go in the machine, just a bit concerned about the pram liner, and if I ruin it in the machine, it could be a costly mistake.
Great idea about the hand washing it with liquid first and then antibacterialing it, I guess Milton would be a good one.
Thanks again0 -
