what to do about currys ????? help nov 2014 bought a KENWOOD dishwasher 3 weeks ago it broke down called KENWOOD "srry they say we dont make dishwashers " ?????? but is got your logo on it ."well currys has the licence to put our name on their goods" wow " call currys if your not happy" they say "its up to me to ask the salesperson if its KENWOOD or not " " its not our policy to tell custermers its one of our products" when i asked her if i had aKENWOOD product she said "srry i am not allowed to give that imformation"have anyone ever gone to buy a well know brand and asked if its really a brand name nothing they can do for me. so if i bought a BMW and got home and found a NISSION engine in it its my fault for not asking if its a real BMW

    You'd probably be better off with a Nissan engine anyway.

    Just keep chasing Curry's, they sold it, they have the responsibility for the repair.

    OK after doing a bit of googling I found the following, which I think is what you're asking?
    Kenwood Appliances
    The Kenwood appliance brand was bought by Delonghi in 2001 along with the Ariete brand name and led to many of the range cookers that were sold being referred to as Kenwwod Elba.

    This brand is not to be confused with the Kenwood small appliance brand or the Kenwood audio company as these are not related to the large appliance business.

    If you read on it basically goes on to say that
    "Kenwood appears to have been used as a "lower price point" product and we have seen many Chinese made dishwashers and other products sold."


    So if I've understood it right, Kenwood sold off the large appliance part of their brand back in 2001 and the cookers and dishwashers, etc are now being made by someone else and are by all accounts inferior quality.
