If you are using chrome, have you noticed if some of the websites you use, have had their favourite button (the yellow star) grayed out?.
Having been through a selection of mine, on a small proportion of mine, the star is grey. I have discovered on another forum, that this has been noticed there too.
It is grey here whilst writing/posting, but after revisiting, it is yellow again.

I guess it's yellow if the current url matches exactly the bookmark and grey if not. So when you write a post the url doesn't match the bookmark. Seems pretty standard to me and FF does the same.0 -

So, using chrome, I google dorset echo and it is first on the list, but the star is grey in google search anyway and as such, there is no way of adding it to favs.
The odd thing is, I've only recently returned to chrome and found it good. When I clicked the yellow star to save something, because it has been putting saved sites in "other bookmarks", I looked in the box to try and drop down to find the folder I wished to save the site to, that when it started this grey thing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Clicking the grey star still adds it to bookmarks.0

This will get you back to how bookmarks was before the change...
Open a New Tab in Google Chrome.
In the address bar type the following...
chrome://flags/#enhanced-bookmarks-experiment
Change "Enable Enhanced Bookmarks" from ‘default’ to ‘disabled’
Relaunch Google Chrome and Bookmarks will be back to how it used to be.0 -

The new "enhanced" bookmarks is proving very unpopular. It wouldn't surprise me if Google recognise their error and in the next version we get the old bookmark system back, or at least something very similar to it.0 -
I suddenly got a little bell notification coming up again a couple of days ago, had got rid of it months ago, but there it was again. Spent ages trying to find a way to get rid of it, and then found it was in the Chrome dropdown menu, simply had to click on Hide Notifications Icon. At least they have made that a little easier this time.0
