I have to share this with you guys, I have just booked a holiday for sept 08 and was really happy with the price! For the last few days I have thumbed 8 or 9 holiday brochures to death, watched hours of tv travel channels, and spent a good few hours on the phone but no one got anywhere near the price I have just booked at.
Thought i'd share it with you incase anyone else wants to book it up....
30.09.08 Luton-Reus (Costa Dorada)
2 ish hr flight, 40min max transfer (good with a 3 year old)
Estival Park hotel & Apartments, La Pineda (Nr Salou)
4*
All inclusive
1 week
2 adults, 1 child (child went free)
3 pools, 3 restaurants, several bars
200m from beach (beachfront hotel)
included 'sit together on plane' £31 - not money saving i know
late check out at 5pm £38 - not neccessary but handy
£778, was £709 before adding extras. booked with first choice website.
Every other quote i was getting for 1 week, all inclusive were closer to the £1000 mark!!!!

that's a bargain! but do you have to pay for 'sit together' if you have a child? I thought an airline has to seat you together? I'm going on a similar holiday this October but staying in Salou 4* - 1 adult, 3 children £440 total!0

Yes , you are right mummymania. Tour opps love this. Its an opportunity to create fear and panic, and then charge you to relieve it.
If you have children then yes they need to rearrange the seating so that an adult from your group is with your child. That doesnt mean that you will all be sitting together though.0 -

How old does that go up to ?
Make sure you tell them as soon as you get to the airport or tell the rep that you have paid extra to sit together, as they took no notice of it when we went once. After complaining they managed to sit us together, but as we were near the end of the queue it was pure luck that they were able to.0 -
I would say 12. I dont know the official age though but from 12 on I wanted to sit as far away as possible from my lot. Why?, that way I cant see their lips move. When their lips move, there normally is a charge following ie "can I get " earphones, a drink, something to eat etc etc0

Is there an age limit on that? I was about to pay to seat me and my son together, he's 13, but luckily the seating plan isn't available yet so I was going to do it nearer to the time.:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0
