Is this the right cable to connect printer to network?

Looking for a network cable to connect an HP laser printer (with Jetdirect card) to a Netgear router. They are a long way, but found this 30m cable on Amazon for £7.99.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cat5e-RJ45-Ethernet-Network-Cable/dp/B000IAHNRK/ref=sr_1_39/026-8188130-3801231?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1186791025&sr=1-39

CAT5e (100Mhz) Ethernet 10BaseT & 100BaseT RJ45 - RJ45 LAN (Local Area Network) This is a patch cable (also called straight or straight-through cable) - used for connecting PC's to hubs, network switches, routers, DSL and ADSL modems.

Will this work?

TIA

    Yes.

You will also need to know how the printer gets assigned an IP address.

Thanks, done it before with another HP laser printer, so should be able to work that out. Just wanted to make sure I was ordering the right cable. If I have any problems I know where to ask for help.

Discovered I can get a Belkin 30m from Amazon themselves for £7.96. Great, as I can get free shipping.

    Anyway thanks again.

Just to add, you're better off setting an IP address for the printer through its control panel. That way, you can set the IP in the driver installer. If it's getting one assigned, it can change. THe number of phone calls I've had from people who say their computer can't find it because of this...
