Of course you could buy shares today (well tomorrow as the markets shut) if you wanted to. I'm not saying you should, just that it is possible. Depending on what happens to the share price it may be better value than it is whenever the government sells those shares. Or, there could be a crash tomorrow (due to say Greece) and the price falls and the government delays their plans somewhat.0 -
