PIR motion security light staying on after it is triggered

Hi,
I have a PIR motion sensor security light up quite high on our house that looks down on the back garden. Recently when it is triggered ( for example by me walking under it at night ) it turns on as it should but it then will not turn off after x minutes ( instead it stays on forever ) I then reset it by turning it off at the fuse box for 10 secs +.
What happens now is if you trigger it again it either remains on or sometimes for the first couple of times its triggered it works perfectly but the third or fourth time it goes back to not turning itself off after x mins once triggered.
I cannot seem to get it just to turn on when triggered and then turn off afterwards
Any help would be much appreciated !

Sounds like it's faulty and needs to be replaced. Possibly got damp inside?0

Some of these are programmed by the amount of times you switch on/off and amount of seconds between switching on/off relative to their actions.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

Turn the light off at the mains switch.
Turn back on.
Wait 2-3 seconds and turn back off at the mains.
Wait 12-15 seconds then turn back on.
Light should come on but go off after the pre-set "on" time has lapsed.
This works for us - Good Luck. :j0
