Buying new 15.6 Laptop

Options
SWMBO needs a new laptop for home/work, she bought a Surface RT some time ago but has trouble using it due to limitations because of availability of apps etc. and she isn;t particularly struck on touchscreens now, Her budget is around £250 ish, given that she would also want to install Office on it (she doesn't like Libre Office - don't ask!) Apart from any suggestions, What I was wondering was whether there is any benefit in waiting for Windows 10 to be actually released (and pre-installed ) and also as Office 2016 is due later this year , is it worth waiting for that as well?
Cheers

Surface RT .. eeww, I was sick a little bit in my mouth then !! :)

She should be able to get a half decent laptop for that budget ..
I would tell her to have a look in PC world .. I wouldn't recommend them for desktops ..
But as laptops are "closed units" for the most part, pc world are able to offer the best deals as they are a supermarket ..
Its unlikely to include office for that price though - And will probly be a 1 month trial or something similar

I wouldn't get too hung up on the latest version of office tho .. imho, anything post 2010 is fine
