I'm not sure how to describe this one, but I have a folder containing multiple folders each with a video file inside. Is there an idiots way to take out all the video files in one go instead of opening each folder and laboriously extracting each one in turn?
TIA

From a command shell you could use xcopy
xcopy c:\*.avi d:\videos /sy
The above should move everything in c with the file extension .avi to a directory in d called videos
You'll obviously need to change the parameters to suit your particular files and directoriesChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
Just use the search function in windows.
Open the folder containing the folders and hit ctrl+f
Type *.avi , or *.mkv etc (depending on the video extension)
This will then list all of the matches for you, select them and copy them somewhere else.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
Cheers to both of you, I used the latter method.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
