    Hello everyone!

I think I'm going to have a slow month after my bumper crop of outs last month :o

I've had probs posting as well. I've managed to retrieve 'timed out' posts by using the back button on my browser.

Dolly - that's an amazing stack of bargains! I'm glad I didn't know about the offer or I might've done the same and I already have about a years worth of REN minis/fullsizes to UU :rotfl:

Fizz - I find the lure of a bargain very hard to resist as well  Could you gift some of the palettes to your daughter/her friends? You could have a palette lucky dip!

    I have a small UU:

Crabtree and Evelyn Summer Hill Hand Therapy (25ml) - WNBA. Sadly I'd left this too long and the fragrance had turned. I UU on my feet :rotfl: (Thankfully my Summer Hill body lotion still smells fine and I'm currently using the C&E Citron Hand Therapy which I adore :D)

    Two TAs:

Miller Harris Coeur de Fleur sample - WNBA. I suspect this had turned. I almost really liked it but it just seemed a bit 'off'.

Miller Harris L'Air de Rien sample - I wanted to like this (Jane Birkin created it :)) but it just smelt dusty on me. TA.

Four more Miller Harris perfume samples to go :)

I'm naturally curly and have to use loads of conditioner just to get a comb through my hair too.

The same monster regularly bites me too, I don't go near the grabbit board anymore.

I find conditioner makes the curl too heavy and so doesn't curl as much. I only brush it before I was it (about every 5-6 days) and use Tony & Guy Sea Salt Spray to fight the frizz.
Seems to work for my hair anyway!

I last washed my hair on Friday morning so have (almost) gone a whole week without touching 'poo :p But my hair is so, so thirsty, I can only imagine what horrors would await me if I didn't condition! However, nothing ventured nothing gained so maybe when I get around to washing tomorrow evening, I'll leave off the 'dish and see what happens :)

And dolly, that's the last time I'll follow links to there too. I hadn't visited before and feel like a right chump for falling foul on my first foray :( Once bitten…

I had the very same thought myself but figured I'd sort the wheat from the chaff first and give them the rubbish :D:rotfl:

VALM, I swear I tried to multiquote your post too but it's not having it and after all the mentions of trouble posting, I daren't go back :o Yes, it was whatever% off your entire order and a free gift when you spent £25. Trouble was, they had bundles at 50% off which included at least one ES palette, plus a liquid blush, a mascara, a Kajal eyeliner and some other bits for £6.49; therefore I had two of those :o Then their Salvation palettes were on 3for2 (normally £6 each) so I had a trio for £12 :o and I added a 32-shade matte palette in at the end for £8 :o This spend obviously qualified me for the free gift so that was sent too :o

The round palettes in the bundles (and included in the free gift) seem quite poor on swatching, very little pigment and the ESs themselves are very small to boot. The Salvation palettes seemed better on initial impressions but I tried the Girl Power one after my post-work shower and the light colour I chose for under my eyebrow to highlight -- oh my!! It was like having a mirror under my brow bone. I like a shimmer, don't get me wrong, but this was ridiculous and I was being light handed :( The mattes looked good in swatches but I'm yet to try them on my lid. The Salvation palette have 18 shadows each, plus the matte one and the five or six "Go!" Palettes mean I have about a bajillion eyeshadows in my possession and to be honest, that just makes me cross at myself  Tell Emma I'd consider it a bullet dodged!

ANYWAY! My Superdrug order arrived so there's a direct oneIN oneOUT swap in the Maybelline Color Tattoo in a Permanent Taupe for my brows (I knew my old one had dried out but didn't realise how much until I had a new one, Sharpie brows for me today :rotfl:) and one IN which is the Maybelline Lash Sensationsal mascara.

Not to be an enabler, or anything...

I popped into my local 99p shop yesterday to get some water and they had this whole range on the shelves.

    http://www.granovita.co.uk/#!purely-skinful/c4ay

Usually retails at £9.99 per item according to google. The packaging looks a bit slap dash, but the list of ingredients is amazing - all natural oils and stuff, think Lush or Neal's Yard. I know Granovita is an established food company because I buy their products for my vegan daughters, maybe their beauty products just never took off? The scent is quite 'herbally' again like Lush or NY. I grabbed 2 lots of the whole range as one of my DD is allergic to Paraffin liquid which seems to be in a lot of high street stuff but not this range. This is the amazing list of ingredients just in the cleanser:-

Ingredients: Aqua, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil*, Salvia Hispanica Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil*, Glycerin*, Cera Alba*, Rubus Idaeus Seed Oil*, Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder*, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract*, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil*, Citrus Grandis Peel Oil*, Quillaja Saponaria Wood Extract*, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil*, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyglycerin, Ethyl Ferulate, Polyglyceryl-5 Trioleate, Disodium Uridine Phosphate, Citronellol+, Geraniol+, Linalool+, Limonene+. (*Natural Oil) (+Naturally Occurring)
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

They sound good, hope they work out well for you.

    I have a flurry of uu's

S&G Ultimelt - WBA, really loved this and my skin looks good but I have a ton of others to use before i buy anymore.

Burts Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream - this stuff is lovely, I use it at night as it is quite greasy but the smell is like almond croissants or something - gorgeous. This was just a mini but I have a full size jar in the stash.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Shower Gel 500ml - this has a lovely scent and is super bubbly. The only reason I WNBA is because it is too thick, it was in a pump bottle but it wouldn't pump out, I decanted it into another bottle but still struggled with it.

  • Four UUs for me today:

Carex Moisture Protect Hand Wash 250ml: Love the smell of this - WDBA.

S&G Hand Food 50ml So sick of this hand cream and glad it was the last in my stash! Hopefully WNBA.

Kiehls Deluxe Hand and Body Lotion with Aloe Vera, Oatmeal and Grapefruit 65ml: GWP - Really didn't like the scent of this- it was just generally unpleasant. It did sink in well but definitely WNB.

Superdrug Mint and Tea Tree Shower Gel 250ml: I was quite disappointed in this one. I last had this scent from Original Source and it was amazing - a really powerful smell which cleared your sinuses! However, this one was very underwhelming. I'd much rather buy the Original Source one again.

It is DH and my wedding anniversary today but he has had to go to Oxford for work so I'm sitting here on my lonesome looking at photos of the day and our honeymoon!

Thinking of you today Babafette and I hope your day goes smoothly!

    Happy Anniversary Deleted_User. xx

2 UUs for me this morning both from PP list:-

L'Occitane Jasmine & Bergamot soap. I love this fragrance however prefer the shower gel as the soap does not leave as much fragrance on my skin. This was bought for me as a gift for Christmas (I don't think I've been using it that long!!). WNBA.

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter - 500ml I think. Love this product and am sure I have another this size in my stash.

I decanted the last of my 200ml bottle of Liz Earle IBST into my 30ml Spritzer bottle yesterday so that won't last much longer.

Have a good weekend ladies. We have no plans as such. x
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I totally hate the new forum. It doesn't seem to have the option of going to the last read post (if it has I can't see it), and it doesn't keep me logged in. How can they have made it so bad?

You can still use the old one. Go to 'User CP', then scroll right down the menu, click 'Manage Version' and select the 'old' version.

But is it only the old one having problems this week? If so, then I suspect it won't be long before they pull the plug on it - I certainly can't see them spending time/money sorting it out :( I'm persevered with it this week, but I'm not sure how much longer I can put up with it given the number of challenge threads I'm trying to keep up with :o

I'm still using the old one. It has been fine today (for me, anyway)
