Hi Princess Lou
Not sure about the 150K really havent sat down and worked any of it out!sure we will do at some point tho!
In MF news this week :
*have taken packed lunches into work most days for both of us (lucky MrTyo got fed aren't I nice)
*£35 made from amazon sales (10 ish left to come which will go straight into house fund!)
*Lidl shop yesterday need to tot up the food spends for the month - then that'll give a target to play with for getting them down a bit. MrTyo made a huge (and very yummy) chilli with at least enough for today and tomorrow plus 4 batches for the freezer!
Nothing else particularly moneysaving going on - it's been a cheapish weekend so just chilling and perhaps some tidying/decluttering to be done today!
Happy sunday all :j:j0 -
*slopes in to see if anyone remembers me*......
Still carrying on in MF land! We have an actual house (as in MrTyo has an actual room!! doesn't have to sleep in the cupboard anymore!!:eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:T:T:T)
Now...... with having an extra room ... with an actual bed in and everything, that puts us back on the MF wagon! :j:j:j
Not much done of late as been too busy wandering round my mansion like house and MrTyo is very happy not in his cupboard! But now that leaves us with around £120K of mortgage to get rid of sharpish!
So here's the plan ....
Food shopping attack plan - we have definitely been spendy of late, but plenty of stuff in to go "shopping" from the cupboards and rustle up lots of healthy dinners and fill up the freezer!
Ebaying - I'm sure in a grand declutter there will be stuff which can be stuck on ebay , or if I'm feeling super adventurous a car boot sale!
Free (and/or cheap) fun! Been a busy few months and we are both in need of some relaxation! so plan on finding some frugal ways to relax- thinking picnics, walks , some cinema vouchers thrown in (have some somewhere .... must dig them out!) and a cheap-ish break in the summer , not MSE but good for the soul for sure!
Anything else I come up with will keep the diary posted! In good (and slightly stunning!) news , have pretty much cut out alcohol consumption :beer: no real reason other than got out of the habit of it, but much cheaper ! Have several "housewarming" bottles of wine which have been in the house for months now! - unheard of previously! so thats a good £6 a weekend that we aren't spending!
Once MF , the next plan is win the lottery and retire! :rotfl::p0 -
Nice to see you back!! :j0

thanks Welshlady
In recent MF-ness , have done the following....
Paid all the cash I could find in the house into the joint house account :j
Had a bit of a declutter - couple of things listed on amazon out of this..
Signed up for delivery saver for online shopping (must remember to cancel in a month!) hoping to avoid supermarket and be able to get some batch cooking in!
Got us some Free meters installed which means we can measure our electric use - a bit :eek::eek: so far , every time I boil the kettle! :rotfl:0
