    if over looked from the road/path then no, from windows from another house then yes, as who is going to stand at a window and watch you, and even if they did what will they see!

    Being overlooked as you describe this garden sounds horrific to me, but if you could plant anything to obscure the neighbour's vision of you, that could make it tolerable, as would a carefully placed pergola.

    Perhaps my area is different, but I'd also be concerned about a corner being a gathering place for local youth, being a tad rowdy and prone to sitting on the wall and lobbing their litter around.
