the bestest easiest fittest cheesecake i ever made is this one nigella's nutella cheesecake (can't post links, but is the first one if you google)

seriously you got to try it. I leave out the nuts in the base and the top, just add a few extra biscuits instead

I make this one for charity/Buffet days at work, I'm not 'allowed' to make anything else :rotfl:

I use aldi's version of everything except the Nutella...but I buy that at aldi too as its only £1.70 a jar at the minute! Otherwise it's an expensive cheesecake even if it is lush :D

I usually fill my no-bake cheesecakes with 300g full fat cream cheese and 500g greek yogurt. It was one of those experiments that actually turned out really well. Takes a couple of days in the fridge to set, but it does set well and has a nice taste and texture. Sometimes I make it plain and cover with some fruit-sugar stuff I've made (low sugar jam really), other times I mix in the juice and zest of one or two lemons with some sugar and have lemon cheesecake.

Never made a baked cheesecake though, but this thread has convinced me to try.

Is that it? Just yogurt & cream cheese, with some sugar & lemon?

This is my mint aero cheesecake recipe...

Of course, you can change the mint aero for any other type of chocolate. The choc seems to stabilise the mixture and make it less likely to misbehave!

I also have a lemon cheesecake recipe which is my 'go to' when I don't want to include chocolate but that's not on my blog. I can post it here though if you want it...

Kevie I would love your lemon cheesecake recipe please. I like the look of your mint aero cheesecake, but that would be something I would make for others but lemon cheesecake would be something I would make for myself.

I am coming back to report I have successfully made a cheesecake.

I used the carnation condensed milk recipe and this time i used full fat cream cheese. i used Lidl condensed milk at 79p and home brand cream cheese, cheap digestive biscuits, a lemon, savers lemon curd and some butter.

it tasted ok although a little sweet, but it set!!
