Just looked at my emails and found this title in my inbox.
The email says
We’re offering you a chance to make some
serious cash, simply list and sell an item for £25
or more and we’ll give you £25*.
How this offer works
This is an invitation-only offer direct from us to you, so we’ll need you to register to join the promotion. Do this by clicking on the ‘Accept offer and sign in’ button above to validate your account.
Important terms and conditions for the final value fee promotion:
• Promotion period: 31st May – 4th June 2015. • You will receive the voucher if your items sell on or before 14th June 2015 23:59:59 UK time and if the selling price is £25 (excluding postage) or more. • Only valid for eBay.co.uk registered private sellers who actively opt in to the promotion. The offer is not valid when forwarded to others. • Total item selling price excludes postage. • Insertion fees, Listing upgrade fees and final value fees apply • Not valid for re-listed items or auto-relisted items. • Listings in the classified format, as well as listings the Vehicles or Property categories are excluded. • The voucher offers a £25 discount, valid for a purchase on eBay.co.uk when you pay with PayPal.
The voucher will be sent to you by email within three weeks after the 14th June.
The voucher code and expiry date will be set out on the voucher itself. • Participating users are eligible for one voucher only.
So if this is legit (it looks it, doesn't it?! - please tell me it is!!) I'm about to start tearing my house apart for something I think will sell for over £25 :rotfl:Not actually sure I've got anything worth that much :rotfl:
So if it's legit, maybe worth checking your inbox

I wouldn't click anything that came into my email.0

I had the same email. I don't plan on using the offer so haven't clicked through it.0
-
I would email Ebay and ask if it is legit.0

I got the same email. Was wondering if it's legit. Haven't clicked any links on it and it's not showing up under selling on ebay with listing offers.
Looks legit but nothing on the ebay site so I don't fully trust it lol. Wouldn't be the first time offers have been email only though and ebay don't always seem to know what offers they've sent out but best asking them before clicking through and listing just in case it's not legit.0 -
Also received £50 back on £50 sellOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Don't messages from Ebay like that also appear in your Ebay messages if genuine? I can well imagine a lot of people being pulled in by that one.0

Ones for free listings do, others don't always. Then again, can't be sure all other emails I've had have been legit lol.
At the bottom it says "ebay has sent this communication to (name) (username)" Both correct. All the usual T&Cs at the bottom.
Appears to be from eBay@reply.ebay.co.uk (even on the message source) which is the same as the last legit email I got.
Same type of header, same order and basically the same layout. Last one I had had a grey box behind it whereas this one doesn't, but could be legit reasons for that. Links appear to go to ebay when I hover over them.
No typos that I've noticed either.
If it is fake it's very very good.0 -
These aren't spam/phishing. I've had a couple of these, one comes to an account that barely exists, I only used the email address to set up an Ebay account a few years ago, so no one else has it.
I've had two on two accounts, one for £25 and one for £50.
It's probably a pre Paypal split to manipulate figures..0 -
Nope, definitely not spam or phishing - and it's also appeared in ebay messages :j
Right then - now all I've got to do is find something I think will sell for £25S'nice to get something back from ebay (for a change!)

I've come on to this forum to post the same thing and seen your post.
My question is - Why doesn't the terms and conditions say what the minimum spend will be to use the £25 voucher??
If you have to spend like £250 on an item to get the £25 off, then I'm not interested lol.0
