Using a prepaid credit card to part pay online

in Credit cards
I've been given a virtual credit card by my US-based employers that is loaded with $300. It cannot be topped up and any purchase of more than $300 will be declined. I don't have a physical card, just the details to use it online.
I would like to use it as partial payment against a camera costing around £280.
I'm struggling to think how I can do this - most online retailers expect to take the full payment from one funding source.
Anyone got any bright ideas on how to get past this restriction? The backup plan would be just to use it for day-to-day online requirements as they arise but I'd prefer to use it in one go if possible.
Thanks,

You should be able to buy yourself an amazon voucher with it, then spend the voucher, topped up with cash as appropriate, on your camera (but you will have to buy it from amazon of course!)0

Remember though, if you return it, you'll get Amazon vouchers back.0
