Mrs LW, my heart goes out to you & HWK, such a difficult decision for you.

Lyn, sending you all hugs, it sounds as though the time is getting closer. You love Docky so much I know you won't let him suffer, but I also know how difficult it is. Our pets very rarely leave us of their own accord, we usually have to make the decision.
Much love

Afternoon all,
Mrs LW - ((((hugs))) to you. It must be heartbreaking for you all.
Bit of a wet start this morning but it dried up by about half ten and is still dry now. Very dull and windy though.
Just got back from a trip to the Outlet centre where I treated myself to a little cute white china cow jug which I have wanted ever since I first saw it a while back. It was only £1.49 so not too big a splash!
DH and DS2 still fishing, apparently it's still raining there....
Going to watch a bit of TV as I'm in a bit of a CBA mood.
Happy Sunday all0 -
Mrs LW. Big (((( hugs)))) to u and docky xx0

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))) Mrs LW and Docky.
It is so difficult to let a dear canine friend go even when you know it is the right thing to do. I had to do it with my beloved red setter many years ago. I still tear up when thoughts of him, even though he was a rogue, come into my head.0 -
Thanks all, it's tough and we both just well up at the thought but poor old fella is starting to look very tired and is a bit shaky on his legs so we would only be keeping him for our benefit and that just wouldn't be fair. It's why I don't want another pet, the pain of having to make the decision to let them go is harder as you get older and it's not easy at any age. You're a bonnie lot, thank you for your love specially to Dockyxxx.0

Wasn't planning on posting today, but I have to just send a heap of love to Docky. Safe Journey, my friend. x
I admit, we did think about getting our own dog some time back, but didn't because if my health took a real plummet, Mr LW waouldn't be able to look after him/her properly without me. Having guests is the best of both worlds.; when you say your farewells, you know they're going back to their loving owners. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good afternoon, I'm back!:j
Firstly, so sorry Mrs LW to read the news today. Hugs to you and HWK and Docky of course.
JackieO hope you will soon be back posting and all went well.
Well I've finally been able to log back on to my laptop. I took my Mum back to Waterloo today to catch her train home. It was nice to see her, but she is a bit tiring as she seems to follow me around everywhere. We took her to the Dickens Festival yesterday and she held on to me the entire time.
DD was 17 on Friday:eek: I just can't believe where the time has gone. We bought her a laptop which she was very pleased with and she had lots of money so will be going shopping soon. She wanted a party with her friends from her old school and her new school, so we will have it in a couple of weeks when they have finished their AS exams. It is going to be a BBQ, so hope the weather will be kind. I need to start planning the food and drink soon.
Not a lot else to say really, I'm going to make a chicken & veg pie for dinner with chicken quorn, and a rhubarb crumble for pud. I also need to make some bread and biscuits.
The other day I made homity pie, which I had never heard of before, OMG it was absolutely gorgeous, and I will definately be making that again.:):)
I have cleaned the house and put my guest's bedding in the wm, so just need to start on dinner soon.
BGT final tonight, looking forward to it. :j
Have a good evening everyone and hugs to all.SPC 11 #4450 -
Afternoon all,
Cool and windy here today, with a couple of short hail showers thrown in for good measure!
Had a banana and 6 prunes for breakfast, I love prunes. OH made some pork meatballs and we had them with a big salad and potato salad around 1, so thats that for today, it appears that OH is converting me to his one meal a day habit, although I may stew some apples later, used to love apples but the dentist says that my teeth are no longer strong enough to eat them out of my hand.....this getting old doesnt suit me at all!
Hugs to Elona, JackieO, Lyn and Docky and anyone else who would like one.

Afternoon all
A quiet day here. A load of washing on the line later rather than sooner.
Made Jack's cumin carrot and red kidney bean soup for lunch. Quite nice but a new one for me. I needed a soup recipe without having to buy many ingredients as I am eking out the last of the housekeeping and that fitted the bill nicely.
Pottered about this afternoon and then made a lemon curd cake. Home made beef lasagne for dinner as we don't always feel like a roast and DS still at home likes it. And the mince was very reasonably priced in Leedle !
Sorry to hear about Docky Lynn (hugs).
Kind thoughts to Elona, Hilstep, Jackie O and anyone I may have missed.
Have a good evening all.
