Hi,
I have two Tesco internet savers (for the DDs) and want to withdraw the money in them to put back in my Santander123. Every time I try it says "we are unable to complete the transaction. Please try again."
Helpfully it doesn't tell me why. I've tried each one of the payees I have set up, tried different amounts, tried setting the transfer for the following day instead of doing it there and then but keep getting the same message. Their help and FAQ section doesn't seem to have anything relevant, just stuff about withdrawal limits but we're not talking big bucks here.
Anyone had similar problems? Or am I missing something really obvious? It's not even letting me move money between the two Tesco accounts.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Just logged in to move some money out. No issues.0

No problems here either Bing, moved some out the other day.0

It seems to be something specific to your accounts and it's best to call them. Their lines open at 9am today.0

I seem to remember having something like this happen and it turned out to be due to the amount being over their threshold for what the system will allow.
But the customer service side has been excellent. Give them a call.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0 -
It allows £100,000 between Tesco A/Cs but only £10,000 external per day IIRC.

I had the exact same message when I tried to move £1 out of my Tesco Internet saver. I think it was because I had only opened the account a few days prior and not had the letter to sign and send back to them to authenticate the account, so could pay money in but not withdraw.
Haven't tried since so don't know if it was that and only got the letter to return yesterday.
Addendum: just tried the same £1 withdrawal one week on and it worked.0 -
I had the same problem. Eventually phoned them up. Apparently they forgot to enable withdrawals when they received my signature.
It can also happen if you haven't used your account in a while.
Best to phone them.0 -
I have seen instances where tesco block withdraws for existing balances (long standing customers & DD's) for up to 2 weeks with no notice or explanation (as they can in the T&Cs). On these occasions, the available balance is much less than the current balance (these are 2 different figures on the account screen).
I think your case is different as the error I recall said not enough funds available to withdraw.0 -
Thanks for all your replies.
Silian's suggestion about the signatures seems quite likely.
I will give them a ring.
Thanks again!0
