Private parking disabled bay

Am I correct in thinking that it is a requirement of the EQ2010 that car parks have to have a % of spaces for disabled parking, or is it advisory?

Not sure. But I do know that unless the disabled bay is in a Local Authority carpark it has no legal protection.

There are "guidelines" which planning departments will want in planning applications.

[FONT=&quot]Over 200 spaces 6 bays plus 2% of car park capacity[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Shopping, recreation and leisure[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]Up to 200 spaces [/FONT]3 bays or 6% of total capacity whichever is greater [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Over 200 spaces 4 bays plus 4% of total capacity[/FONT]
