Outlook 365 - the strange case of the disappearing emAILS.

Help!

Bought a sub for this + new laptop and have spent days setting it up, everything almost ok apart from the Outlook.

This is terrible. I migrated from Outlook 2003 everything seemed OK old emails moved across, more problems with the contacts but I managed to do this via my trusty blackberry.I set up the account using the imap protocol.

Then I went back into Outlook expecting to bask in the glory of having done and and .. nothing even the test emails had vanished. Checked my gmail account not there either went on line pages of complaints about disappearing emails tried a few suggestions but could not find them.

Anybody had the same experience? I have deleted the account and will probably try reinstalling. Should I have used POP?

Did you delete your emails on the old laptop/pc by any chance? And what do you mean by "old emails moved across"? Did you import the emails somehow or did you just set up the email account with the IMAP settings and the emails appeared?

Thanks. I exported them + contacts as a CSV file, it went with the other files into the file transfer programme and they were then imported also with the file transfer programme.

I set up my email account and then imported the emails. Contacts did not work so I tried to sync with my BB via B Link this also failed so I then exported to Gmail and imported from Gmail.

The emails appeared briefly and then vanished.

New emails also appeared but vanished. This appears to be a common problem with Outlook 365.

Solved by switching to bt web mail, gmail has real problems with this application!
