removing do not use sticker from plastic toilet seat

When water turned off in newly bought house, "Do Not Use" stickers were liberally plastered over everything including a toilet seat.
The seat is brand new so seems a shame to bin it, but the sticker has come off leaving a gluey residue behind. Have tried cleaning it off, but still mark left.
Any ideas on dealing with this?

Try eucalyptus oil, marvelous stuff. It gets mascara off of carpets, just in case any ever needs to!! Or nail varnish remover.0

From what I read any cleaning product with "limonene" in will help. Last time I used a bit of soapy pledge.0

Another vote for WD40.
Also putting the hairdryer on stickers warms up the glue to help remove them.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I've heard leaving mayonaise on stickers for a bit makes them easier to remove.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
