Barclaycard reporting incorrect information - refund win!

I recently signed up to Experian online to check my credit file (about to finish my DMP so wanted to make sure everything was tickety-boo)

Spotted my Barclaycard showed a £100 balance and that I had a £1000 credit limit which I knew was incorrect but it was showing as available credit to me in lender's eyes.

Barclays made it very clear that I will not be able to obtain further credit from them and that the account will naturally come to a close. So I complained that the information they are reporting on my Experian credit file is factually incorrect and I requested that it be removed/updated immediately.

Result - £100 credited to my account, balance clear and account marked as fully satisfied and closed

We're they in the wrong or have i just been lucky?

Happy Friday!
