How to measure radius of shower tray ?

Options
I was trying to be money saving and keep my existing shower tray, its a 800x800 quadrant measured along the straight edges

I ordered a new enclosure from Bath Store and put the frame on the tray and it does not follow the shape of the tray as the curve of the track is smaller

Looking at the instructions for the tray they sell it has a radius of 550 , im trying to work out how to find this figure from my existing tray to see if i can get a matching elclosure

Thanks

If I understand correctly, the radius of your existing shower tray is 800 : the two straight edges are meeting at the centre of the circle of which the tray is a quadrant. And so the straight edges are themselves radius lines.

quadrant shower measurements don't work like that.

A and B are the measurements of the tray, and c is the radius of the curved part of the shower (the doors of the cubicle).

OP to measure c do the following.

Get 2 pieces of wood, or anything else straight.

place one running parallel to A on my diagram, positioned so that the edge of it is at the very start of the curve on the tray.

place the second one running parallel to B on my diagram, again, so that the edge is at the very start of the curve on the tray.

the pieces intersect at the centre of the curve. measure from this point to the edge of the tray and you have your radius.

    Oops, sorry.

But looking at your diagram, isn't the radius just the difference between the lengths of the straight parts of the edges ?
