PPI Companies

Hi

I know there is a method of claiming PPI yourself but i was wondering if there is a way you can look back all the loans etc you have had and where to find it. Also how long back can you go?

I'd also be happy going to a company if that would be easier so anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

Thanks

Download PPI form from here , send to company , claim PPI

Use claim company , pay at least a third of claim for same above steps

No magic way of finding out that they know and we don't

Look at your old bank statements for payments to loan companies

It is suggested to do it yourself and write to all the finance organisations you have dealt with over the years to look at possible PPI selling on any finance products, It is a simple as a phone call and or stamped letter so paying a firm between 20-35% is really not worth while doing on this.

The details you hand to a PPI firm will be the same you will need to do it yourself so whilst spending the time looking over them all just add on extra time and small expense and make the calls or write letters yourself, If you work it out and say as an average claim may be a few hundred to a few grand and work out the rate they charge you will be down an awful lot of money by passing this to a firm that will only make a call or send a letter on your behalf.

Your old loans/CC etc are not in the public domain.

The only way a claims company can access them is if you provide them with the information and if you can do that why pay a company to send off a form for you and take a huge chunk of refund.

Your last 6 years of records will be on your credit record, check Noddle for free online and get the £2 report for Experian and Equifax - note these will show lenders and credit agreements but not PPI and of course will provide no supporting evidence for a miss-sale complaint

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

A claims company wont know what you had unless you tell them.
