Credit Report + Question

Options
Hi,

I've a couple of questions that i'm after a bit of help.

I've been signing up to all sorts of credit reports and i'm looking for a cheapish report that can keep me updated and also send alerts if something has changed. Do you suggest any ?

Also, can credit card company's see what other credit card company's you with? (eg card with MBNA) Or do they just simply see credit account this amount etc..

Thanks

Noddle is free but you will need to pay for alerts on any of the three CRAs.

Lenders don't see the names of your cards or loans.

Thanks for your quick reply. I will have a look at Noddle!

Regarding the credit report. I was looking at the Aqua card as it has 0% worldwide transactions (would be paid off fully) - Would have a card like this on a credit report damage the rating?

    Thanks

No, as no one can see which lender it is from. If they were inclined, they could guess it was a sub prime lender from the low credit limit, but I wouldn't be concerned about this.

Lenders won't know the card is with Aqua, so won't be a problem at all.

Hi there, just thought id let you know that chevk my file seems cheaper than some other monthly subscriptions but it only updates once per month not live updates as things change, and since noddle is free i wouldn't pay the 7.99 when you can get a statutory £2 report each month if you needed to!

Check My File shows credit account data for Equifax & CallCredit/Noddle only.
It does not show credit account data for Experian, only public record data that Experian holds such as CCJs or electoral roll information. This is stated in their Terms & Conditions as quoted below:
The information we provide may not be identical to that which can be obtained elsewhere. For example, we do not provide account information from Experian, although we do provide Experian's version of the Electoral Rolls/Registers, persons linked to you on the Experian database, Experian's record of insolvencies including bankruptcy, sequestration, IVA records, Trust Deeds, and similar, together with Experian-sourced court records including High Court Judgments and County Court Judgments, including the court, plaint number and status of such judgments, and whether settled or not

There is little value to a consumer in paying for any subscription services at all, from any company. Simply obtain the £2 statutory report from each agency when you need them.
