Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

Shortie - Thank you for starting the thread today. TBH you are probably better off not boozing with work colleagues, I always found the capacity for cringe worthy moments just a little too easy :) Have fun at the games expo.

Hannah - Hope the spreadsheet is looking happy with the new payrise? Well done on project use it up/wear it out as well. I am proud to say I wont need breast pads, or new born nappies, or nappy sacks due to the finds from the back of our cupboard, hoping the nappy tabs will be ok after 6 years!

Dawn - I am glad of the rain for the garden. It has been very hot & dry this week so it was due a good soak. Also FYI, I dont think anyone tells the truth on those online surveys do they? Could you try that approach? Meet the new Dawn, ABC1, high earner, who just loves cat food ;)

JoJo - Have fun in Liverpool.

NFM - I did smile re training the kids thing. If you crack that one, let me know :)

Twiggy - Is it the big party this weekend???

KickUptheAss- Great user name. Well done on your ebaying...

Well. I feel this is the first time all week I've had time to myself. OH & son have just left to get some glam items from Mr T, loo roll, milk, bread. The inlaws left mid morning so I am at last free of company as well.
That said, I am deeply grateful to them, they did a fantastic job this week, & we all got on fine. The only thing I found draining was having to make sure I cooked something nice each night, including pudding, whereas if it was just the immediate family, some nights we'd have wacked a pizza in. It did push the grocery bill up a little this week, but the saving on childcare was great, from a mercenary perspective. From a non money POV they did a lot of lovely day trips, & were really easy to look after, plus I think son really enjoyed the 1 to 1 time with them.

Had a very bad night twice this week. Last night was due to going to bed so early (9pm) as I have been very tired. Woke at 2.30 & was then awake till 4. So today has been sponsored by red bull....I know...I know...I shouldnt...

I think I surprised MIL on just how thrifty and frugal I am re food waste. Monday nights cold chicken & salad that she kindly provided became Tuesday nights stirfry base. Every scrap of food that can be put straight into containers & chilled post dinner was (I have seen them put meat bones straight down for the dogs at their place..eek) tonights dinner will finally be the laid back whatever I can save from the fridge affair I've been craving.

My Mr T vouchers turned up, so have put them straight into my purse. PetsatHome had also sent some, not sure of their use but will check.

Have also just done all the budget stuff as its OHs pay day. Things are not good this month due to me not having any wages to transfer. But I am just going to try and manage till whatever next comes from the insurance. And at least we have the EF for such times.

There is no class for my son tommorow so we have a free day, and indeed weekend I think. Which is nice to get ready for back to school on Monday & try & relax a little.

    Think thats me,

    Bob

Thank you, I can't wait!! I was good and sent a little over to my parents too (otherwise I'm sure we'd have finished it off!)
