Fidelity Investment Trust

Apologies if this has already been asked but I couldn't find anything through a search. I have a bit of money to invest (£1,500) which ideally I would like medium risk on and as this amount is too small to buy shares with I thought an investment fund would be an option. I am specifically looking at Fidelity's Special Values PLC has anyone had experience with this or something similar and think its a good/bad idea?

I have shares in Fidelity special values and they've done well recently but equally have had periods of poor performance.
If that's your only investment then its fairly high risk as you're only exposed to one country and companies that are considered special situations which may make them more volatile.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Thanks for the reply, I heard splitting shares between different companies and sectors is also a good way to invest but I assumed I needed more money to do this? I could probably go to £2000.0

I hold FSV trust as part of a much larger portfolio. And an hapy with the performance over the period I have owned them (I dont care about short term ups and downs)
While not wanting to put you off investing there, with someone who is new to the market, I would suggest you look at articles about diversifying and not to put all your eggs in one basket So split an investment there, with a global tracker or lifestyle fund?0
