Hi.

So my insurance company has taken my car to be repaired and enterprise has given me a courtesy car.

I have taken the additional insurnace cover from enterprise @ a cost of £6.50 a day.

I have just noticed a scratch near the driver side door.

I cant say if this was done before or after i took the car.

Does the extra cover i took cover the excess or will i have to pay.

I dont wanna call them incase they miss it when i give it back.

The scratch if very fine looks like a scuff mark but i think its bigger then the circle they use to measure the marks.

Many Thanks in advance.

  • Depends what that £6.50 a day covers. If it's excess protection then yes you should be fine.

Try and hide the scratch using eg tcut, colour polish, wax crayon, etc. they might not notice it.

Or, given that you've paid excess insurance, give the door a big kick to get your money's worth from it: )
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Not sure if you have returned yet but if you haven't the £6.50 on insurance rental will usually be to reduce what ever your own xs is to zero so don't worry about it. Also depends how big the scratch is. If less then abour 3 inch it doesn't matter any way.
