Stupidly enough, I also ordered a tv. I got responses over the phone and e-mails up until the delivery day; absolute silence after that. Of course, no delivery took place.

Officially reported planethd to the police who have already started investigating the issue. Sad thing is they are still operating! I suppose the more complaints the police receives, the quicker they will act upon the matter.

I too got suckered in by the slick website and apparent legitimacy. I placed my order a week ago but received no dispatch email as yet, leaving me a bit concerned and more so when attempts to contact the company resulted in a voicemail and discovery the claimed address is in fact let to Travis Perkins Company.

I've been able to trace the company account to the NatWest bank branch in Greenwich and spoken to the fraud department, who are investigating the account and activity. They have received a number of complaints now against this so called company so are keen to investigate it.

I can only hope I can get my money back. The quicker we all respond, contact the bank (03457 888 444) the greater the chance/hope.

Advice: AVOID. It is almost certainly a scam, albeit a very professional one.

I suggest that all of you affected by this also complain to the websites hosting company which appears to be https://www.justhost.com.

Perhaps it will be enough for them to pull the site down.
  • I too bought a TV on Monday 1st June I still haven't received it and don't think I will.i have tried phoning emails and heard nothing. I guess I'll just have to put it down to experience, the website is still up and running I hope nobody else gets sucked in .

Folks I have discovered the fraudsters have set up again under the following name:
    Windsor Audio Visual.
The website is appears under: winsdoraudiovisual and .co.uk
(I am unable to quote the website here due to links not permitted)

AVOID. Their MO is shamelessly identical as PlanetHD and payments are only accepted by BACS transfer.
  • Just read your response re windsor. . Placed an order myself - feel bad.

Have you got any further with research and retrieval of money?

The same here, placed an order a week ago then found out they dont answer phone calls or replay any emails. Didnt delivered either.

Everybody must report them to http://www.actionfraud.police.uk
    so something can be done.

It took us a year to save up to buy a new TV

We got scammed, very professional website and customer number, called several times, often answered which we thought was a positive sign and told all was OK, assured us they had delivered x3 times and "must be our problem as nobody was at home" total lie! They then asked for our bank account details to re-credit money, our bank advised its a scam/FRAUD and they contacted NationWide Bank whom Windsor Audio & Visual were using to deposit money, bank account had been cleared of any money.

SCAM.....such a professional website, even got caught to sign up for a newsletter and get a 10% discount.

BE AWARE THE WEBSITE IS STILL ACTIVE, WHY CANT THIS BE TAKEN DOWN .....suspect people are loosing £1000s of pounds.
