EDIT (ORIGINAL POST REMOVED). I would like to change what I previously stated in this thread and retract the comments made regarding diamond-heaven.co.uk before......I could not be happier with the service and have recommended to several friends.

    Obviously a case of "horse-head-in-bed"! :D:D:D

So how was this 'resolved', as you now seem to be falling over yourself to flagellate yourself over your outburst from yesterday and praise them to the heavens

    Hey,

Guess I owe an explanation for my u-turn. I want to emphasis there was NO deal done with the store regarding changing this thread, or any conditions leading to me editing the post, this is from me.

I went into the store enquiring about the refund and was told technically there are no refunds given for items in store but it will be discussed with senior staff. First of all I have been dealing with a particular person at the store, who was not working on the day I showed up on, so the person that informed me of this had not dealt with me previously and only informed me of local policy and escalation had offered. The reason I put I acted trigger happy is because after being a customer and dealing with the same person, I should have discussed this with them directly on a day they worked and so was unfair to feel incredibly cheated when not giving the shop a proper chance and after having received excellent service to that point.

Although a full refund is not offered, the options offered were extremely flexible, including due to the circumstances to take the time required with the purchase. I had also enquired about other diamonds despite changing it several times and they offered to change again and even if I wanted to buy the diamond elsewhere to use my money towards just the bands, which I believe are extremely fair options.

Because of the more than fair options given to me, I have realised this could easily have been resolved by discussing with the correct people truthfully from the start, and that this thread may have not been necessary to start with, and that "incredibly cheated" was a rash comment to make. Also as highlighted by people on this thread, it is seemingly common knowledge that internet services and instore service policies are not the same.

I'll happily clarify any other issues, but there is NO gun to the head!
