HSBC Bank Charges Reclaim - Help

Hi, First of all I didn't expect this to be easy. Anyway I am looking for some advice. I have sent a letter to HSBC Bank with regards to bank charges, stating that we are in financial hardship, as per the ombudsman. 8 months is probably too long ago. Even on open accounts, most banks will only look at charges over the previous 6 months unless really severe hardship (priority arrears like council tax or utilities).
