Neighbours' garden?

Hello
Just after some advice as I always get good tips from here
Our back garden is surrounded by three neighbours, one to our direct right, two to the left and one directly at the back.
Now the ones at the back are what I am querying. We only have one large fence panel separating us and last summer we had to block it completely as their young children were tormenting our son (one of them sprayed kitchen cleaner in his face). Other than that, no issues. Until recently.
Basically they haven't cut their grass since sometime last year and its now around 4ft long. Covered in weeds. It's starting to creep under and in between our fence panel, we keep cutting it obviously. It's an eyesore too.
Anything we can do? (Debating to send an anon letter through the post!) I'm not sure if the property is owned or rented or council.

nothing you can do unless its creating a health hazard (rats nesting or dumped household rubbish)
just keep tending your side and ignore theirsEx forum ambassador

On the bright side, the longer the grass grows and the more overgrown it gets, the less likely their horrible kids are to play outside.0

I don't understand this.
You can cut off any plants that grow onto your side of the fence where they cross the boundary, and if the mere sight of them or their garden offends you replace it or complement it (depending on who actually owns the fence panel itself) with something less seen-through.0 -

Very passive aggressive and lets be honest, it won't be hard to figure out who sent it!
As above, just keep cutting it back or change the panel for one that totally blocks your view of it. Nightmare gardens are nightmare gardens unfortunately and it is unlikely that those responsible will do anything unless forced. A not so anonymous letter is likely to do nothing but annoy as they clearly don't mind living in a dump. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
You could use the weed killer which is sold in a spray and spray your side of the fence, this should be enough to kill back the weeds for a few weeks at a time.0
