Tripsta wrong booking?

We have booked a ticket from LGW to BCN, for dates 16/6 - 29/6 through Skyscanner and got redirected to Tripsta for purchase.
We were 2 when made the booking, so obviously checked the dates.

We just realized that while the "out" date is correct, the "return" date is wrong, it's the 29/10, that's 4 months away! Even if we wanted to do so, we would have to click many times in Skyscnaner's options to go to October!

Now Tripsta says we need to pay 150 pounds to change the ticket. We say that it's the system's error that it made the booking for October. They said we should have taken a screenshot whilst making the booking which we think is absurd to say the least!
How can I make them change the ticket, even with a low fee?

You wouldn't have to click many times - you could have just selected a date four months in advance in the first place.

I don't think it's absurd for them to want a screenshot. You say you booked X, the system says you booked Y - they're going to need some sort of evidence to show the system is the one that's wrong. I assume the confirmation email says October?

Who are you flying with? Normally you have to go through the travel agent (which is why many on here insist you don't use them - though I personally often find much better deals with them than direct) but it's worth seeing if the airline can change it themselves for less. Unfortunately you'll likely have to pay the £150 fee (though it may be cheaper to buy a new flight - which after a quick search is £121 with Vueling plus whatever baggage you need).

True, though if you have ever used Skyscanner except from the dropdown option you are talking about there are arrows to move forward/back to months.

I think it is! Who does ever do that?!

    That's correct.

That's actually true, I might do that.

It doesn't matter if people do it or not, I don't see how else you could prove you booked the right dates. Their computer says you didn't and your email says you didn't. Someone before claimed Skyscanner messed up their dates when clicking through, and I vaguely remember that happening once to me - that's possibly what happened here.

Good luck with the airline though!
