The best flea control - Cat

hi there - can anyone recommend the best flea control for cats, the vet used frontline I have been using Johnson (apparently vet) hasn't heard of this? Looking to find the best one thats not as expensive and then reading that fronline isnt the best anyway?

Frontline seems to be less effective these days.

I use stronghold on the animals and RIP flea the house once every 6 months just as a precaution.

    I've also used advantage.

Advantage can be bought from vetuk but stringhold is prescription only so from the vets.

I'd avoid the Johnsons/Bob Martin types.

We use Advocate which we get from our vet. It is a prescription one so not cheap but kitty has never had fleas.

However, the other day at the vet, we mentioned that it's really hard to get our kitty to take his worming tablets (he hates them). She mentioned that there's now a good spot-on treatment that gets both fleas and worms in one - Broadline. It's more expensive than Advocate, but we might switch when we run out just to avoid tablet traumas!

I have been using Eliminall from VetUK for about 2 years now. Never seen a flea on any of my 6 dogs and cats, and also, it doesn't make them itchy like Frontline did!
I just enter and forget...hoping to win something! :)

Bare in mind that broadline's active ingredient is fipronil... the same as frontline. Both made by the company merial
