    eagle is right, Pincher. the 1.5% rate kicks in when you spend £10k+.

    Yup. £140 gets you the lounge pass for two visits per year.
    Also some travel and insurance benefits along with the MR program.

    I'm beginning to think that the card with the £25 annual fee is going to work out better for me...

    Just received a letter today from Amex regarding my old-style Amex Platinum. Here is there response to the interbank fees for card transactions: "To allow us to maintain the existing rewards and benefits linked to your card, we are increasing the interest rates on your account from 19.9% to 22.9%. Has anybody else received such a letter?

    Yup I have - there is another thread on here somewhere.
    Doesn't mean anything to me as I just pay it off in full every month.

    Me too. I always pay it off every month, so it makes no difference to me... it's the people who carry a balance that have to pay the price.
