Yeah that really helps.
What a stupid thing to suggest. - criminal damage.0 -
I knew somebody that had that happen. So he blocked them in and went to stay with a friend for a week.ts_aly2000 wrote: »It's just like someone coming along and parking in your driveway.0 -

Lol dont get me started on that! We live at the end of a cul de sac and constantly people park on and in front of our drive!
Im looking for a wheel clamp as we speak :rotfl:0 -
Examine the deeds CLOSELY. There may be some sort of communal drive/parking agreement whereby he is allowed to park on your land. However, the same agreement would probably allow you to park in his parking space.
If it turns out you have EXCLUSIVE rights to that space then show the neighbour a copy of the deeds. If he still parks there get a bollard or stick up a wheel clamping sign and clamp the bogger!0 -
Like the idea of a sign mentioning wheel clamping!
Check the deeds and if necessary send unreasonable neighbour a solicitors letter confirming the right to unhindered parking by your car only!
Please post pictures the first time your neighbour's car is clamped!!0 -
It would be a shame if he got a flat tyre every time he parked there.Been away for a while.0

This has happened to us a couple of times. It is always friends of the same family who are actually about 4 houses away on the other side of the street. It is just rudeness IMO.ts_aly2000 wrote: »
It's a highly annoying situation to be in. It's just like someone coming along and parking in your driveway.
They also regularly park to block our driveway so when we come home from work we can't use it. This happened once and the owner of the vehicle had left a note on the screen, apologising and saying if we needed the car moved to knock on x door. We did that and the moved the car immediately, so while it was a bit of a pain, we didn't mind. Other times, no note has been left and despite beeping on the horn it takes 5 minutes for someone to come out and they start whinging at us that they didn't have anywhere else to park! We have free parking a short (100m) walk away but they are too lazy to use that.
I think the deeds through the letter box idea is the best suggestion.MFIT No. 810 -
It would also be a shame if a brick came flying through your living room window in the middle of the night. Don't be daft. They have to live with the guy, not have a war with him.0

We purchased 2 car barriers last week from Lidls just £9.99 each. You have to drill into the concrete to fix but they look great and have a touch more protection from our vehicles being stolen..... but most of all nobody else can drive on our driveway anymore.0
