No set time, then perhaps a month or so if you intend to send one at all. Could still be a bit tight, but if they bought the debt without making sure they had the paperwork, then tough on them.
However, if they are hassling you, and you want to send one, I would send it on the 12+2 date.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

thank you, these companies are always keen to set dead lines so it only seems fair that they should keep them, or at the very least acknoweldge receipt of my letter if they cannot supply it in that time.....Debt free since Jan 2016

Yep, they normally do. Well, Wescot and Rob way did. Not had many dealings with Moroncroft.
depends if you are in a rush to potentially make it enforceable again, as after 14 days, it isn't til they produce it.:beer:0 -
well if they cant then it will stengthen my case to settle if they will take a cheeky offer.......thats the goal hereDebt free since Jan 2016

Moorcraft have been absolutely shockingly bad IMHO - a month would be reasonable but in my experience the longer you have to wait, the better the news will be.
Good luck.0 -
well i issued a 'you failed to do it so the account is now in default so you have 14 days to suggest a resolution' letter.
so when they ignore that whats the next step....the same letter threatening to complain to the FOS is they continue to ignore me?Debt free since Jan 2016

The sanction is already there, in that they would be unable to get a court to enforce the agreement while they remain in default.
If failure to supply the agreement is the only issue, then it's not something you can make a formal complaint with to the FOS/FCA etc.
Usual thing for most people seems to be just to sit and wait. They and you will know they can't enforce it. If they continue to hassle you, then maybe complain then but pick your grounds. Simply the lack of a CCA would be a waste of time complaining on in any formal fashion.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
