Is it safe to obtain a Russian invitation letter from a website?

I’m going to apply for a Russian tourist visa. According to the visa document requirement, I need to provide a tourist voucher/invitation (includes stamp, signature and booking details) issued by the hotel or a travel agent.

I will stay in 3 different hotels in Russia. And the hotel will only issue me an invitation letter for my stay period with my credit card guarantee. Therefore, I need to obtain 3 invitation letters.

Then, I found a number of websites providing Russian invitation services (such as Russian-voucher.com). I'm just wondering are they safe? Can I use their invitation letters to apply for Russian visa?

Anyone use their services before, please? Thank you very much.

Have just used one of these sites as I'm staying in 3 hotels\ 2 cities.

Easy peasy and about $15 IIRC

Got the Russina visa on the strength of this letter.

Seems an unecessary hoop to jump through IMHO.

You do know you have to personnaly visit the Visa issuing office in either London or edinburgh to have your fingerpirnts done?

Yes, I understand that I need to do online application first and then go to the VFS in London.

May I ask you which website you have used to obtain your invitation letter, please?

I see you have asked the Q on Tripadvisor

As per them look at http://waytorussia.net/Travel/VisaSupport.html

This leads you to this page
    http://waytorussia.net/Services/VisaSupport/Tourist.html?Submit=Get+It+Online+Now

Which is how I got my registration "letter" Basically an email reply within seconds and a PDF with all the details

Printed this and handed it in with the Visa application at VFS

    Sorted.

It is a pain getting all the stuff you need for a Russian visa. It is meant to change soon with the world cup coming up (unless they lose it with the FIFA investigations!). I think we used realrussia.co.uk to obtain all our stuff.

    Have a great trip!
