New Boiler - Water dripping from flue!!

Hi,
I've had a boiler fitted (combi condensing) and have noticed occasionaly, there are water droplets coming the flue pipe - just after the steam vapour from the flue.
Is this normal? Since I supplied the boiler, I don't want the plumber blaming my boiler if he's done something wrong?
Thanks, Ash

The flue on a condensing boiler is supposed to pass thru the wall with the angle of the fall running back towards the boiler so that condense created by the boilers operation is collected in the boiler before being discharged. It sounds like the flue has been set to fall in the opposite direction hence the effect you explain.
Hope This Helps0 -
Hi
Flues on condensing boilers are supposed to be installed so that the condensate runs back into the heat exchanger . What does it drip on to?

Thanks guys - it drips from the flue & onto the garden tarmac near the foundations.0

Hi
If there is enough condensate dripping from the flue would it cause a problem in the winter should it freeze? Would you slip on it?
It will also eat concrete and I assume tarmac over time.

The following I think explains the above!!!:mad::mad:
I've had a builder do some work for me (an FMB registered) - to remove existing boiler/tank system and install new combi boiler & renew gas/ch piping (I supplied the boiler).
(+ to remove an internal partition wall to create larger bathroom & also create a new wc under stairs etc.)
On the quotation, he stated safety certificates would be issued for electrics/gas works as required.
I'm not very impressed with the general quality of the work (I think he's got some Polish cowboys working for him) - but more importantly I'm concerned about the boiler installation etc. -- It looks like he's used one of his own plumbers to do the installation of the boiler+piping etc and then had some corgi registered guy come and inspect the work and give me a LANDLORD safety certificate, which means the installation was previous (I think).
I feel very cheated and taken advantage of as i'm only young and it was my first house purchase (1st works on the house - my luck!!)
Some water/ch pipes are leaking (as he boxed them in and plastered over before checking). Can someone tell me what sort of safety certificates I should have been issued and what are my options - I still owe him over £1k.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

The flue should be angled slighty upward...check to see if it's been angled slightly downward.
It may simply be due to the hot and humid conditions we have at the moment.0 -

Good afternoon: Sorry to hear about your difficulties...makes my blood boil when I hear about these cowboys  as it gives all CORGIs a bad name!!
What you should have is a Building Regs Compliance Certificate http://www.trustcorgi.com/consumer/requestacertificate.htmx
Do you have the CORGI's registration number on the Landlord's certificate (why you were give this by the clown is beyond me) You can check his registration/details on the CORGI site. Contact CORGI on the freephone number/ue the online facility and report the installer http://www.trustcorgi.com/complain/complaint.htmx (he/she should not be signing off someone else's work ) tell CORGI you are concerned about the safety of the installation... they will investigate. Report the builder to FMB http://www.findabuilder.co.uk/why/complaints.asp
Don't give your 'builder' another penny. There are number of electricians who post on this forum...I'll leave the advice in that area to them;)
