Ukpc parking notice

Hi everyone.
I received a parking notice for when parking in aldi on a Thursday afternoon when I had a valid ticket displayed and I had no idea why so I found the ticket warden in the car park and approached him with my valid ticket and questioned as to why he had given me one. He explained that the small numbers on the underneath of the bay indicated that they were residential and therefore not for puplic use, when I questioned where it says that he pointed to the blue pay and display sign where underneath in very small writing you would have to stand next to to read! Do I pay?! It is a £50 fine and I don't know whether or not to pay, any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you!

they have 6 years to pursue this under small claims court
nobody can answer that question, save to say that so far the answer is no, who knows what the answer will be in 2 to 5 years ? nobody does
if this was a windscreen ticket, wait for the NTK in the post
then appeal this with the retailer and also appeal it to UKPC using the template letter, before the 28 days deadline is up
gen up on these issues by watching tonights bbc1 watchdog and DOM on bbc1 tomorrow
the above assumes this was in england or wales0 -
Whilst UKPC don't tend to do court currently, they have 6 years to decide whether to take that path.
Ignoring will mean months (maybe years) of debt collector letters and could ultimately lead to a County Court Claim, unlikely but if that happens, and you ignore, it will lead to a default judgment against you which if you ignore and don't pay could lead to a CCJ.
It's far better to send off the 1st appeal template when you get the postal NtK and when/if they reject it (when being the more likely) then appeal to POPLA to get it cancelled.
UKPC are easy to beat at POPLA - so would advise you to follow the advice in the NEWBIES sticky thread0
